Ferrite pots are ceramic magnets with flat, round faces.
These magnetic studs consist of a ferrite ring with a large coercive field, the flux of which is returned to the active face via a high-permeability mild steel part.
You can drill and tap the back side of the studs according to the table on the product sheet. The ferrite ring on the stud is a ceramic. It should therefore be protected from any violent shock.
