The core of the Samarium tapped stud is a magnet housed in a magnetic cap which focuses the entire flux of the magnet on the active face.
Drilling and tapping should be avoided.
The fixing is done by screwing for the studs with threaded axis.
The mechanical strength is good due to the mild steel cover of the magnets.
